This project comprises the demolition of a number of former care home facility and construction of a new 4 storey over basement parking Nursing Home providing 120 bedrooms plus support and welfare/social spaces. The design for the new facility, whilst optimising bedroom capacity, had to respect the height, location and type of surrounding structures which included a school, houses and apartments. The building design was carefully considered to avoid any overlooking/loss of privacy to adjacent dwellings and sun path studies were carried out to prove no adverse effects. The building includes all welfare and support facilities with space and room standards all meeting HIQA criteria.
