The brief was for a modern yet traditional, comfortable and environmentally efficient home. The accommodation consists of an 1100 sq.m six bedroom family home with bespoke basement swimming pool, home cinema, state of the art ‘high tech’ electrical installation and communications networks/controls. Sustainability was of utmost importance for the Client. The dwelling features a range of sustainable design elements including high thermal values, low air permeability, avoidance of thermal bridges, an array of solar panels, a heat recovery and ventilation system, under floor heating, grey water harvesting and a private well for drinking water.
